I am so excited today to be unveiling my new full-fledged website!
This is one of the many things I’ve been working on this summer in anticipation of becoming a published author. Well, I should rephrase that – this wonderful site is something my good friend at Dake House has patiently been working with me on and spending her own time to build! Additionally, contributing to the overall beauty is the photography of another friend over at KJaneDesigns. Thank you both for your talented work!
Speaking of the photography, if you do not know my family personally or see us regularly you will notice after clicking on the About page that my children are actually a lot older and bigger than what you may have thought based on the old photograph from my houseofhatton blog! Practically speaking they are all teenagers now – though my youngest is just twelve, he thinks he’s a teen:)
As they have grown, so have I. When I started on this blogging journey I had only just submitted a book proposal to a couple publishers. That was in 2012 when my daughter, who will now be a senior, was not even halfway through her freshman year. What I have experienced and learned over these past few years as a pastor’s wife, mom of teenagers, Bible study teacher, friend and writer has changed and shaped me.
In fact, my husband likes to say he has been married to five different women because of how I have evolved and perhaps been reinvented over the years! Of course, I could say the same about him! But isn’t that one of the beauties of marriage? You get to discover who you are and grow together in grace!
Growing in Grace Together is actually how life should be for all of us as we seek after the One who gives true life and makes all things new. Thus my tag line! And, the desire behind everything I write and teach and pursue in relationships.
Now for a few house-keeping items in relation to this new site. If you formerly subscribed to my blog at houseofhatton please take a moment to resubscribe, as I’m afraid the transition did not carry my followers along to this new home. If you have not subscribed, I welcome you to do so. There is now an option at the top of the right-hand side bar to subscribe separately to either the blog and/or my future monthly newsletter in which I will write more specifically on topics pertaining to parenting and teen issues.
No matter what topics you are most interested in reading about, I now have a great feature on the Archives page where you can easily scroll through the categories to read past blog posts on certain topics.
Finally, you will note on the Calendar page I am available (on a limited bases) to speak on many of these categories or other topics related to what I typically write about should your church, women’s group or other organization be interested.
All of this is more than I imagined but as I mentioned in a recent post, I’ll just keep walking the path laid before me and hope you will join me in seeking to grow in grace together.
