Description
Does your teen daughter always need money but getting a job with her busy schedule seems impossible? We understand. With family vacations, camp, sports, and other activities it can be challenging for a teenager to find a job that allows for flexibility. So when our girls were in seventh grade we began dreaming about a way for them to make money year after year doing a backyard summer girls’ camp.
And for seven years it was just that!
Now, we’ld like to help you do the same by following our tried and true methods, themes, crafts and more in our Girls’ Camp Guide!
One of the biggest blessings of Girls’ Camp was the ability to earn substantial income in a short period of time. In fact, our girls earned more money in a total of six days than most of their friends did all summer!
Girls’ Camp enabled them to buy/maintain their cars and social life without having to worry with jobs during the school year. However they did also have lots of babysitting jobs throughout the school year too, thanks to all the little campers and families they met at Girls’ Camp.
But another huge perk – for them and us as moms – is we got to share in the experience, creating mother-daughter memories and solidifying for a lifetime the friendship between the four of us.
The Guide is a nearly 100 page substantial eBook that includes five chapters, plus an adendum and essential Checklist, hitting on everything from start to finish.
We begin Chapter 1 by discussing basics like setting a location and date, determining how many campers to include and what price to set.
In Chapter 2, you will learn about recruiting campers, what to include on your registration form and liability statement. We include a sample, along with information on how to track your attendees and finances.
In Chapter 3 we move into the pre-planning stage that cover theme, decorations, craft ideas, supplies and more.
Final prep will span almost 20 pages in Chapter 4 and will include even things like groceries/lunch menu, and set up.
Chapter 5 is all the ins and out of the actual camp week, from the schedule to taking photos, optional add-ins and helpful hints.
Finally in Chapter 6, clean up, inventory, pay day and follow up.
The Addendum alone is approximately 40 pages with 34 craft instructions and photos.
So you can be certain what you are purchasing, we’ve included in the Sample, the introduction, Chapter 1 along with the title page of the other chapters and a few crafts from the addendum. To view sample, click: Sample

My daughters used this guide to start their own first annual girls camp! The book makes it easy to duplicate the camp by including plans from creating a budget, time table, theme days with craft ideas to how to communicate to parents. It was such a wonderful experience for my three daughters who ran the entire camp and for the girls who attended the camp. The countdown has begun to this upcoming summer’s camp! I highly recommend using this guide and it can be adapted to any environment! (We live in New England so we made use to the many public parts close by!)

My three daughters used this guide to start their own “baking” camp ! The book gave them so many helpful tips and they keep referring back to it! My girls learned so much from this book and it gave them the confidence they needed to run a camp for 15 kids! I really feel like running a camp has taught them skills they will use for the rest of their lives. My family highly recommend this book!
