I can’t believe I’m back to having a rising senior… two rising seniors actually (my daughter is already to her final year of college)! But my son finishing his high school junior year feels different than it did with her. I assume because I’ve already gone though it and seen God’s goodness to my daughter during college I feel more excited for my son than sad for me. But sooner or later it will still hit (football senior night!) because the anticipation of an empty seat at the table is just plain hard!
