With a worldwide pandemic, nationwide racial tension, and upcoming election stirring up Cancel Culture + a New York Times best-selling “Christian” book promoting self-first living, the book of Philippians as recently preached by my husband came in stark contrast. To think, we are here dismissing, condemining, cancelling others, elevating self, and searching for life in false things when Christ made himself NOTHING in order to humbly serve sinners like us. Whose image then are we bearing? Certainly not Jesus’.
So this got us thinking about how what we say we believe as Christians is not how we functionally live. Therefore, using the sermon series as a springboard meshed with what is going on in the world at large and our own little worlds is what led to our newest podcast series, Gospel Gaps.
In five bite-size episodes, we unpack scripture, expose the gaps and point to truth, not in a condemning way, but in a way we hope causes us to reevaluate how we think, act, and live. While our podcast is technically for parents, this series is meant for all. But for those of us in the throes of parenting, as we encounter the truth of God’s word, it should influence how we parent.
We hope in listening you’ll be encouaraged to know Christ deeper. We would love, if you find the episodes helpful, for you to write an Apple podcast review and share the word about the podcast with your friends so other people too might encounter the good news of the gospel of grace.
To access the podcast go to your Apple podcast app, or click here to access it via the show notes. Look for Season 3 on the page, but you’ll see every episode listed there!
