You may (or may not) have noticed I’ve been absent from this space for a bit. That’s what happens I guess when you’re in grad school– too much to read, not enough time to write.
But a trend I’ve noticed over the last seven years of blogging (I can’t believe it’s been that long!) is fewer people are reading. Not just my posts but in general. Instead we now gravitate toward short snippets, which is why an influx of mini-blogs on places like Instagram have popped up. Always hurried, we can scroll fast not stopping long to contemplate. This feeds in to our collective preference to numbing our minds with entertainment than reflective thinking! So while we may bemoan that our kids who are reading less, so are we.
Never the less, from the analytics I still see a hungering for gospel-centered truth, especially when it come to parenting. In fact, four of my top five were parenting related. So though I may not write as frequently I will continue on.
If you want more content than what appears here, be sure to subscribe to my monthly newsletter if you aren’t already. It’s where I share things I’m learning (counseling-wise and in other ways), things I’m going through, what I’m reading, listening to and more. You can subscribe HERE.
