At the beginning of summer our family watched Season Two of 13 Reasons Why. If you’ve seen it, you know many scenes were hard to watch. But as parents I believe we must enter in to where our teens are. Now this doesn’t require watching 13 Reasons Why. It does though require paying attention.
From the show, 13 topics easily emerged as conversations we should be having openly and often with our teens. While they may be at ages when peer and cultural influences are high, parents remain the #1 shaping influence on their kids’ lives. What we say (or don’t say) matters.
